Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America, today announced beginning November 14th, it will move operations from its current location at 4912 W Chestnut Expressway to the CU Transit intermodal at 211 N Main Ave.
Greyhound and interline partner Jefferson Lines will provide six schedules a day to popular destinations including St. Louis, Mo., Tulsa, Okla., and Oklahoma City, Okla. Along the route, customers will have the opportunity to connect to Greyhound’s network of over 1,700 destinations nationwide.
“City Utilities welcomes our partnership with Greyhound,” say Matt Crawford, City Utilities Director, Transit. “We look forward to the opportunities that will be provided to the Springfield community through this partnership and the travel flexibility it will allow for many of our neighbors. We believe it is a natural fit.”
By making the move to the intermodal which also houses city bus connections and is less than six miles from its original location, Greyhound will provide more intercity access to transportation for everyone in the Springfield communities.
