+++ Large-scale public artwork by local artist Mari Pohlman brings Dallas landmarks to life while creating a more welcoming experience for travelers
DALLAS (August 11, 2026) – Flix North America, parent company of Greyhound and FlixBus and the continent’s largest intercity bus network, today unveiled a new large-scale mural transforming the exterior of its Dallas transportation hub into a vibrant tribute to the city’s culture, creativity, and iconic landmarks.
Created by Dallas-based artist Mari Pohlman, the artwork welcomes travelers arriving and departing from the Greyhound and FlixBus station at 9755 Harry Hines Boulevard, offering a unique sense of place and a memorable introduction to the city.
"Providing travelers with an affordable and reliable way to get where they need to go is at the center of what we do, but we also care about the experience along the way," said Kai Boysan, CEO of Flix North America. "We wanted this mural to celebrate Dallas through the eyes of a local artist while creating a more welcoming environment for our passengers and employees. It reflects our ongoing commitment to the city we proudly call home and to making one of the most important hubs in our national network an even better place to travel through."
Connecting Dallas Travelers Through Art
Titled "Welcome to Dallas," the mural features many of the city's most recognizable landmarks and cultural icons, including the Pegasus, Reunion Tower, the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, the Deep Ellum sign, and the Dallas skyline.
Spanning approximately 1,200 square feet, the artwork was completed over 18 days using a palette of more than 20 colors. Set against a vibrant nighttime skyline, the composition blends geometric shapes, bold gradients, and bright neon accents inspired by Dallas' architecture, culture, and energy. Through her signature use of color and movement, Pohlman created a piece that reflects the city's character while inviting travelers to pause, explore its details, and be inspired.
"I wanted this mural to capture what makes Dallas instantly recognizable," said Pohlman. "Every landmark represents a different part of the city's story. If it encourages someone to stop for a photo, discover a new detail, or smile before boarding their bus, then it's done exactly what I hoped it would: give travelers a meaningful introduction to the city while creating something the community can take pride in."
Enhancing the Bus Travel Experience
The addition of the mural at Dallas bus terminal builds on Flix's ongoing effort to elevate the bus travel experience. As intercity bus travel demand continues to rise, Flix continues to enhance every stage of the customer journey, from expanding its network and delivering a modern, comfortable onboard experience to improving the moments before and after passengers board. As one of Flix's busiest transportation hubs, the recently relocated Dallas terminal now offers passengers a modern, air-conditioned facility with complimentary Wi-Fi, a newly added fresh food kiosk, and convenient connections to local public transportation. The new mural adds to those enhancements, creating a welcoming, distinctly Dallas arrival experience and giving travelers a place to admire the artwork and capture a photo before continuing their journey.
